My favourite August (2019) comebacks!

Another month gone. It’s easy to forget how quick time flies, as am getting ready to return back to university after a summer of being at home. With my busy schedule though, I still had time to dive into my favourite comebacks in the Korean music industry. Let’s go!

5. FANXY CHILD – Y

Fanxy Child have always been a group that were made out of my favourite artists. Seeing them come back and do more has been a blessing. It’s a very chilled, laid back vibe that they’ve brought this time with some easy listen rap and vocals that are on point. Can’t wait for even more from them.

4. Ravi – Still Nirvana

I feel that from my top 5 this month you can definitely see a pattern. Have to be honest here, it took me a few listens to get into this flow, but once I was in that was it. Ravi never disappoints in my opinion, if he returns to London I hope to see him for sure. The song has a lot of featured artists which can be a bit overwhelming, but never the less adore adore adore this song!

3. M.O.N.T

This song is so important, it talks about a piece of land that is Korean however the Japanese fought over it (if you would like to read some discussion about it, underneath the video are fans explaining the situation much better than me). The flow of the song is very powerful, you can hear the pride and loudness of the group. Aside from the deep message that it brings, the song is 100% my type, and M.O.N.T are a group I am looking into learning.

2. EVERGLOW – Adios

If you haven’t heard this yet… where have you been? This was so close to actually being my number one this month. The chorus will be stuck in your head for days on end, the beat is so uplifting and sucks you in so you want to dance. It is definitely a comeback of theirs that will keep me interested to see what they do next!

1 PENIEL – Flip ft Beenzino

THIS.IS.HIS.YEAR!
This has been on my repeat over and over. Peniel has done so well on this comeback, and I have lowkey missed him. The flow of the rap is too good, the chorus is so catchy and I just have nothing bad to say. Please go and support Peniel!

So, they’re my top 5 – what are yours this month?

Monsta X – a concert or a party?

July was the month when it finally happened, I finally met Monsta X. But let’s go from the beginning, because this was a proper party if I have ever been to one.

Monsta X at SSE Wembley arena on the 9th of July 2019.

To start off, I wanted to give back to the monbebe (their fandom name) community this concert, so paired up with two of my friends to put together small projects for three members. It’s safe to say that this was a success, and the 100 that I had made went ever so quickly, I hope fans enjoyed the goodies that I have made.

We were given our goodies that we paid for (as I had ultimate VIP) and our numbered wristband at which point we were free to wonder around for a couple of hours. Everyone around the venue was so nice, fans were helping each other out and once the queues were sorted everyone was ready to see what Monsta X had in store for us.

My signed album, the photo cards from it and my lanyard!

The moment the concert started we were all more than ready to party. The screams were deafening, but surely made the boys feel welcomed in London. It was my bad that this time, I didn’t record a single song fully… I was just too busy dancing and just enjoying my time.

The only thing that was slightly annoying was the stage layout as it was set out into a runway T. Therefore, when they were performing there it was hard to see, or only see the back of them. It was definitely more beneficial for during the concert to be further back rather than barrier. Though saying that, there was more than enough space to dance.

A short video of Joohoney and Shownu coming to dance on our side as well as a snippet of Dramarama.

One of the highlights from the over all concert was that Joohoney was actually drumming and smashing it! Definitely made me appreciate his talent even more, as well as leaving me mesmerised at how much he is actually capable of.

A clip of Joohoney playing the drums and Shownu looking amazing.

With the energy that Monsta X set, the concert hall soon felt more like a night club or a party, with everyone dancing to the songs and chanting along. It was such an amazing atmosphere I really hope to experience this again soon.

These show you the energy and partying vibe we had going!

The boys finished the concert with ‘By My Side’ to which I ended up tearing up slightly… or maybe a lot. This tour and set list was so well planned, even though they didn’t perform stuck or beautiful… it was exactly the perfect balance of what I was hoping for.

Now here is my experience meeting the boys:

My personal experience!

So, that was Monsta X for you. This concert is definitely one I will remember, and Monsta X are a group that I constantly recommend to people.

Have you seen them? When, where and how was your experience?

Until next time~
